About Us
About the Polish Heritage Society of NEW
The Polish Heritage Society of Northeastern Wisconsin was founded by Polish Americans who shared a deep appreciation for their heritage and recognized the importance of preserving and sharing the history, culture, and traditions of Poland and the Polish people.
Our mission is simple but meaningful: to develop a spirit of pride and sharing of Polish history, culture and traditions.
We believe heritage is more than where our ancestors came from. It is found in the stories we tell, the traditions we continue, the foods we share, the music we enjoy, and the connections we build with one another.
What We Do
Preserve Polish history and the stories of generations before us.
Celebrate Polish culture and traditions through educational programs and events.
Share knowledge about Poland and the Polish-American experience.
Connect generations by encouraging families and young people to learn about their heritage.
Build friendships and community among people who share an appreciation for Polish culture.
Why Northeastern Wisconsin?
Polish immigrants helped shape communities throughout Wisconsin, becoming one of the state's largest immigrant populations. While our members now span the Upper Midwest and beyond—from California to Montreal and Florida—our roots and largest membership remain in east-central and northeastern Wisconsin, where generations of Polish families have made their homes, built communities, and preserved traditions.
We invite you to discover your Polish heritage, celebrate our shared traditions, and become part of our story.
